Stretchweld:
Stretchweld is a patented stretch tape pre-impregnated with a resin that can be activated by salt or fresh water. Stretchweld pipe repair system has various repair kits for all sorts of problems one might encounter when dealing with large diameter industrial pipes to small diameter household pipe repairs both above and below ground and under water applications.
Stretchweld is the most advanced development in the field of repairs and restoration of industrial, marine or domestic pipe lines of any size and material. It can be used underground, under water and even pipes under pressure without switching off the fluid flow.
Advantages:
- Repairs & Reinforces pipe lines
- Cost Effective & Eliminates or reduces the down time
- Easy to apply
- No tools are required
- No measuring
- Can be applied to wet surfaces
- Resistant to all chemical and salt water
- Conforms to irregular shapes
- Sets in 30 minutes Achieves very high mechanical strength
- Adheres to Metal, PVC, Concrete, and Rubber.
- Can be used on pressure lines.
- Can be applied under water Provides ultimate corrosion protection
Stretchweld has thousands of uses in all areas such as heavy duty, large diameter industrial pipes lines in petroleum industry, chemical industry, waste treatment plants and sewer lines, municipalities, industrial plants, marine applications, repairing reinforcement and corrosion protection of underground, underwater pipelines.
Procedure:
Estimation of number of layers: In general for anti corrosive application a minimum of four layers of Stretch Weld is sufficient. Repair for leaks in lines operating upto300 psi, a minimum of 8 layers of Stretchweld is recommended.
For larger pipes and specific operating conditions, please consult our field engineers for proper estimation of materials and various supporting accessories.
