Piocol Hightemp (P-110) Heat-Resistant Putty

Piocol Hightemp (P-110) is a breakthrough in metalworking putties, designed for applications requiring exceptional heat resistance and mechanical strength. (a) Features

  • Heat Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 545°C.
  • Adhesion: Adheres to all metals and non-metals with very high bonding strength once cured.

(b) Surface Preparation

For optimal results, ensure the surface is clean and dry. Clean with Piosolv and roughen the surface to achieve the best adhesion.

(c) Application

Piocol Hightemp can be applied using a putty knife, spatula, trowel, caulking gun, or rubber squeegee. When filling deep holes or cavities, apply the putty in thin layers of less than 5mm thick. Allow each layer to dry for at least 24 hours at room temperature, then heat cure at 220°C for 1 hour. For brush application, thin with Piosolv to a paint consistency and apply with light brush strokes.

(d) Drying Time

Depth of application affects drying time. Allow the putty to air dry for at least 24 hours or until hardened to a metal state. Heat cure at 220°C for 1 hour before applying additional coats or powder coating.

(e) Curing

Ensure Piocol Hightemp is completely dry before subjecting it to heat. Improper heat curing may result in outgassing or bubbling. After drying, heat cure at 220°C for one hour.
